Headed out to X-Bar in Century City last night to hang out with some friends and do a test shoot of a bartender friend doing his bidness. He’s currently in a contest for LA’s Best Bartender, so do me a favor and sign up and shoot him a vote! Instead of being into showy show-off flare that most d-bag bartenders use instead of serving their customers, Johnny takes care of his customers and then some. Great guy who gets my vote any day!
Got a chance to use my brand spanking new ringlight from alienbees (used same day it was delivered). It was awesome! Great coverage, no shadows, nice catchlight, cool effect. Sure, it might be considered cliche, but used at the right time can yield a great result that no other light setup can duplicate.
