hiking the falls

took beau and hiked up to sturtevant falls today. had my hands full with beau’s food and water, plus my food and water and two cameras (400D and Holga). thankfully, other friends who were with us took beau off my hands so I could take some photos along the way.

i had decided to take the throwaway 400D kit lens (18-55mm) because if i knocked it on a rock or something, i could just throw it away! i wasn’t expecting to get great quality photos because i never really used this kit glass, but they actually turned out decent in this situation, despite the glass being a plastic early rebel kit lens. i guess it just goes to show that it isnt always the camera/glass that can make a photo.
